This study investigated engineering students’ attitudes regarding textbook reading and utilization of Internet sites as a supportive environment for basic academic courses. 228 freshman students from two colleges and one university participated in the research. It was found that both university and college students invest little time in reading textbooks and that they prefer textbooks written in Hebrew. It was also found that university students are aware of the Internet sites supporting the course textbooks and are assisted by online learning materials far more than college students.
