Good interpersonal skills, reflective thinking, and self-knowledge are important qualities for many professionals in their area of expertise, but for those in the helping professions they are crucial. Despite their importance, study programs in higher education for helping professionals rarely address the development of these competences in any serious manner. The article presents one approach that has developed in recent years for nurturing these competences.
